on an 01 cummins best setup for towing and fuel mileage was a set of 100 hp injectors and bd super b turbo. intake and exhaust as well as the manifolds swapped using ones from ats. and an ejwa with hot unlock. it did everything and more and DD got well over 22 mpg and pulling my 18ft enclosed race trailer with two quads and all our gear for the weeked in the mountains here it ususally got 18 mpg

It just got a new lift pump and the trans shifts fine. It parked right now because it was running shitty then a fuel line busted and I dont have the time to find the leak. I think its electrical because it has a few shorts.

well i can tow a 13,000 pound enclosed trailor loaded and get 11mpg ( compaired to the father in laws ford v8 gas burner he braggs about all the time that gets 6mpg with the same exact trailor and load ) but any way thanks banditsdiesel right now i am going to have to put tires and a new lift and vp44 pump in it ( lift pump is dieing and takeing injection with it cought it too late) but after that i will look into that setup and really like the milage numbers that you got

well yah it could be electrical the newer a diesel is the more it seems to depend on a computer whitch usually equils lessreliability and more stuff to go wrong
