Default Transmission? Electrical?

Alright so heres the deal about a week ago i notice that if I accelerate mildy my truck doesnt want to shift to the next gear and it pretty much bogs down. I can even put it to the floor once it starts acting strange and the rps will stay where they are. I am no where near redlining so dont need to worry about that. Once i let off and it shifts to the next gear i get all my power back. If i accelerate lightly it shifts perfectly fine no problems at all.

It only does it if I put it down a little farther. Tried removing the smarty to see if that was it but still the same result. Truck runs great otherwise

Time to have it adjusted. With over stock power on a 47RE you will kill it in no time. You need to start looking into at least a new TC and VB for your tranny. But to get the most out of it you need to get a completely built tranny.

Its does have a triple disk. Its just weird because if I try giving it more power my won't go up until it shifts. Once it does I have all my power back

another thing is that sometimes going from 1st to 2nd it'll sound like its a manual... Depends how hard i accelerate but it'll sound like I let off to pop in the clutch that I don't have and then it'll shift. Its very strange

If I have time before I go to work I'll record a video of it and post it.

sounds like its hesitating, i would get the bands adjusted asap! also check the tv cable adjustment, might be a sticking cable. and as said above get the seleniods checked out too while you are in there adjusting bands. plus its not a bad idea to throw in at least a shift kit while you are adjusting too!
be carefull with the tripple disc though putting too much power through it and too the stock input is a recipe for disaster!

Yes, it will go into OD, just takes a bit to get there if I get on it. If i don't accelerate very hard everything is normal

With the stock VB the TQ will not lock up until 4th gear (OD).Well if there is some miles on the transmission a fuild change, band adjustment and VB with new electronics
http://www.electricaladvantage.net/r...kit00up-1.aspx won't hurt.

If I knew that would fix my problem I'd get that for sure...just looking for some more input on it. I do have a triple disk converter I know that. Not sure if the valve body has anything done to it. I bought the truck with the converter not sure if the valve body has been touched.
