Default Front Driveshaft ?

Is the front driveshaft on an auto tranny and a 5 speed interchangeable? My son just bought an 02 5 speed and it needs a front driveline.

perhaps, i haven't crawled under and looked at that, but i believe the slip is in the shaft and not a yoke. then it depends on how different the lengths of the trannys are.

also depends on the years. 00-02 have same front yoke 99-94 had some front yoke. I believe the shafts are different lengths because of trans lengths but the transfer case are the same mount up.

had mine rebuilt for about $300 about a year ago, with a beefier cv joint and beefier yolk and plate on the transfer case end... just something to think about
