cool Cupholders the real fix

So how many of you guys who have a auto trans, got some stupid broken cup holders? Ive been in many a dodge and this stupid clips where broken so that when you touched it it rendered it useless as a cup holder. Mine broke awhile back so I switched over to using a roll of duck tape on my arm rest to hold that joe.... That is until this white minivan cut me off trying to get on a on ramp sending my coffee in to the dash, floor, and pants. So I vowed to find a fix. Dodge wants $100 to put a whole new cup holder in so I said screw that! I got the idea off the internet I cant remember where I went to so many places. But here we go... The items you will need are 4 blue crimp's with the round ends for 14-18 gauge wire, to 6 3/4 to 7 in long cable any will work and 2 self tapping screws. Take your wire and put a crimp at both ends. Next take the old bracket that held the cup holder off. Its kinda hard but can be done. Next take your cables and unscrew the two black dash screws that are at the top. Right around where the bracket used to be, you cant miss it only screws there. Now slip the screw through the round part of the crimp and screw back in. you should now have 2 wires screwed in to the dash one in each screw. next take your self tapping screw and drill it in to the post where the old bracket used to be. After you have done that back the screw back out and put the wire on that screw make sure not to strip out the hole and give the wire end some play to fold when you close the cup holder. And your done!! you can add some heat cover if you want to on the ends of the wires to make it look better if you want. This is my first post so Let me know how I did and let me know If you have any questions!
