Depends on the dealer - some have done it for free and then some will charge you an arm and a leg.

Other good cold weather options are an exhaust brake, ESPAR heater, or SMARTY (this will enable the high idle as well)

If you want a do it youself project and are handy with wiring let me know and I will see what info I can find.

The trip to the dealer is going to cost your at least a 1 shop hour for them to enable the high idle feature on your truck. So its about $60-$120 for the flash at a dealer.

If you can barrow a Smarty for about 5 minutes you'll get the high idle enabled for free!

Are you sure about that? I believe that the high idle feature goes away after you remove the Smarty.

I'm sure... That why I building a high idle switch for my truck... The high idle feature is very much present but I got to wait for <32*F at the IAT or <15*F at the IAT for 3 cyl...

I don't want to wait...
