Bit the Bullet and sprung for a FASS. Also installed the pickup tube from FASS. Very nice kit, almost everything was included.

Didn't like the mixing of Grade 5 and Grade 8 hardware, but thats the way the dice rolls. I would have liked more JIC to 3/8" barbed fittings as well.

Didn't like any of the mounting suggestions that were included in the kit, so I did it my own way.



I notched out one of the bracket to make clearance.



In this configuration, the pumps can be hung from above.



When the pump was mounted, only 1/2 of filter is lower than the body panels of the truck. All the fitting on the pump were at the right height to easily run above the frame to the tank.

Another neat little thing I did:



There was a rubber plug in a hole of the frame. I removed it, cut a hole in the center, and ran the electrical harness through it. -

Looks good. The only thing I dont like about mine is how far down the filters hang. Maybe one day I will fix mine up like yours.

It doesn't take much. Remove 1/4" wide, and 2.5" down of material off the flat bracket. I used the Grade 5 flange nuts that came in the kit as spacers between the two, and bolted everything up. Very little of the filters hang down past the body line, and there is still about 1.5" of clearance above the motor for cooling. So far, it is working very well. -
