Default Alarm Troubles

Got a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500, having an issue now for about 6 months. It only happenes in the mornings and that is I go out and unlock my truck and the alarm will go off?!?! After the first unlock of the day the alarm wont go off anymore. Is it a short somewhere? Has someone come across this problem? Its just annoying as hell hearing it go off every morning and waking up the neighbors. Any help will be great.

Thanks -

ok if you have keyless entry, take the key out of the ignition and lock the doors using the button on the door panel. shut the doors. wait a minute and unlock the drivers side door with the key, i know it works on jeeps and VW's and some fords. but both locks should pop up at the same time. should fix your problem.

let me know how it works. -

Have you checked the door contacts? Maybe there is grease, rust, corrosion? make sure they work. sounds like it goes into nuisance prevention after the first alarm. Have you checked the battery voltage at the alarm unit.
I assume it is the factory alarm, right? -
