24 Valve 2nd Gen Dodge Cummins 98.5-02 Discussion of 24 Valve 5.9 Liter Dodge Cummins Diesels with VP44 Injection Pumps

Hey guys 98.5 cold air intake 4in straight pipe 50hp power puck but the truck has 305k . So Im looking to have a rebuild done or replace the motor with another rebuilt motor. Id rather have this one rebuilt because i know the motor ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Default 24 valve rebuid

Hey guys 98.5 cold air intake 4in straight pipe 50hp power puck but the truck has 305k . So Im looking to have a rebuild done or replace the motor with another rebuilt motor. Id rather have this one rebuilt because i know the motor and what it has been through. but i dont know where to get the rebuild kit or where i should take it... so if any of you guys could help me out i would appreciate it. Thanks.

Im not having any problems but i do alot of hauling like 6 days a week. most loads average anywhere from 12k to over 20k. And i also do alot of welding to so its always under a load. Im just kinda looking around. Id like to have it rebuilt before something does happen... But im gonna try to wait as long as i can before i have it worked on.

do an overhead on it, check the turbo tolerance , change the oil and filter and air filter, clean the MAP sensor, stick it on the road for another 300 then look at it some more.......it may need it then....maybe

Ok thanks man.. i change the oil an fuel filter an clean my air filter every 3500 to 4000 miles. i had the turbo checked when i bought the truck. I have never heard of cleanin the MAP sensor.
