OK, I bit the bullet, and bought a FASS 150/150. Truck performance has not changed, but fuel pressure never exceeds 19 PSI. Still thinking the VP44 is damaged........

FASS 150/150-1008 is the number on the box. 3/8" lines, 10 Micron Filter. Those kind of goodies.

Good read, but does not directly define the issue I am having. Which is pretty much not enough fuel delivery.

Default Blue Chip

Iv been working with the same thing same truck and everything. But rather than rambling on just look up BLUE CHIP VP44. All they do is dodge fule systems not cheap but by far hands down the best/most reliable pumps make. Just read everything they have there.

Did not say you rambled. I was talking about my self (rather than me talking about their vp you could check it all out) as far as throughing $$$ out the windo go your our way then. But i have been working with the bosh vp44 in several work trucks and my own as well. Replaced 4 at the shop and 1 on mine. The only thing they buy now is blue chip. I went 1 up and got the spechal x and WOW is all I can say. But if your like alot of these people any more, Im more that likely talking to a wall. Sorry just trying to help, Ill just set back and watch

The same set up with air dog in the 150 comes with the 1/2'' line kit for "usully" 100.00 less and fass is not any better Air dog "dad" Fass "son" Fass was a branch off of air dog a few years ago They are both good I just have been around air dogs longer plus they are a bit more quite.

Actually the customer service with FASS is much better. And you can actually buy parts for the FASS. Call Airdog and ask them if you can get a replacement Airdog Pump.

Okay, I'm not gonna make this into a big mess but....
The bluechip VP-44 is the SAME vp-44 every other vendor offers. Exact same product, same internals, same electronics.

And on the airdog, I'm with Luke. I've seen whats been going on, And I'll say plain and simple that FASS has the customer service side down pat and a product that can be rebuilt at your location, by you. You can buy pumps for the FASS which you cannot with the Airdog.

I have called or walked into several local shops looking at Vp44. Yes a vp is a vp but most do not resleave the plunger housing if its not need, and the bigest factor is the electronics only 1 places replaced all the computers on top or the vp with bran new computer and that shop wanted 135.00$ more than the blue chip.

Fass dose have better over the phone help but warranties wise Iv never seen a problem on the 1 iv seen sent back. As for my work truck 98 1/2 cummins with almost 1/2 million miles on it and the air dog now at 80,000 miles on it,and when it goes out all redo it all lines and pump because its not worth the worry of what "if", for 500$ every 7 years "if it goes out this year"
Im not trying to start a fight and I know people are trying to make a living but this is just things iv seen and the vp is fact

RAW- not trying to "grill" ya I do like the swamp cats very cool never seen that before

All new VP-44's from 99% of Bosch Shops today come with the new "Fed Ex" Electronics!
Just because it's said that the pluger housings are or are not resleaved dosent mean they are. Ask any injection shop of any count about it and see what they say!
We've put hundred of injection pumps on, NEVER used a bluechip and havent seen a failure yet. The fuel supply is key to making the pump live, I personally feel 99% of failures are in some way related to fuel supply issues!
I'm not trying to be rude, just stating the facts!

"Just because it's said that the pluger housings are or are not resleaved dosent mean they are"
this is what i'm talking about I'v personaly seen problems with remaned vp that were not resleaved because they "passed" the tolrance test. But this still results in a pemature pump failer.
As for the suply. No where did i ever say this was not a problem
I agree that 99% is 100% right
