CTD won't start

Default CTD won't start

Help please!
Went out this chilly morn and she wouldn't start. Seemed to fire oncefirst thing so I let up but it wouldn't run. Rolls over until the batteries die which doesn't take very long when it's down around zero.
Recent issues....past 2 months....
Lost the gauge cluster for a couple of weeks then suddenly it came back. Put the dash back together and it's been fine.
Had an issue a week ago when it was -18 with the fuel waxing up. Limped it to work and added some Diesel 911. Has seemed all fine since.
Checked codes and got nothing.
I'll be reading all I can while I 'work from home' today. The boss says I should buy a Ford so I can get to work.
Someone help...I love my Cummins! DOn't want a Ford!

did you check to see if fuel filter froze up. happend to a buddy of mine last week took 5 hours with a turbo heater on it to thaw it out. funny part with his he drove for an hour before it stoped working. tell your boss you would rather ride a bike then drive a ford

Whatever happens...make sure you don't buy anything newer than a 7.3liter,or you'll spend all your time trying to figure out what's wrong with it.
We'd have to move this to the badlands for me to tell you what to tell your boss.

have you recharged your batterys yet? Check all filters for waxing, what do you have done to your truck such as a fass or airdog? Do you still have a factory pump? what is the mileage?

Batteries are a big issue... These truck require up to 700 Amps to twist the engine over and another 190 Amps to just heat up the manifold for starting. So I would pull those batteries and have them tested and have the alternator tested too... Cold winters are rough on the electrical system.

As for the fuel You going to have to check and see if the fuel is being pumped? You got a fuel pressure gauge at all? That might give a clue...

X2 on the batteries, X4 on replacing the fuel filter. Next chance you get, toss in some #1 and 2 stoke oil.
