Default Is it ok to have a little blow by

I have a 2000 dodge Cummins 2500 has 390.000 on it runs good I got the truck about a mouth ago my first Cummins love it I tryed to do the blow by test and noticed that there was a little light steam comes out of the engine cap hole but the cap does not move when I put it on the top am I ok I'm just nervous pleas let me know what you guys think

The Crankcase vent hose on the Cummins (on the front gear cover) is in my opinion in a bad spot. It will over time mist the chassis and front oil pan making a great place for dirt to stick. I relocated the outlet of the hose with some plastic pipe I imagine you could use a hose.
The main thing to worry about on diesels is white smoke and grey smoke out the exhaust.
Some blow by is normal it is a internal combustion engine.
I like driving down the interstate and looking at the oil spots after a bump in the road. It lets me know where the bumps are hahaha.

I relocated mine using PVC pipe and moved it to the rear of the engine. Its not hard and the PVC holds up very well.
