Hi I'm new to the site and have a 2001 dodge 3500 6spd with a 4" banks exhaust has a muffler stock air filter and a super chips programmer. I purchased the truck like this with 117k it has a new stock injection and lift pump 5k ago but I was wondering what upgrades would be the best for towing I live in Kansas and I'm a farmer so I do haul heavy loads any input or help would be awesome thanks!!

Gauges to monitor you engine, Exhaust Temp, Boost, and Fuel Pressure.

Upgraded Lift Pump, FASS/Air Dog

Injectors, 65-100 HP. They will give more power, better economy, but you have to watch your EGT's and fuel pressure.

I ran a stock HX35 on top with my S471 below for some time before modifying my HX35 into a HX35/40. 65HP injectors and an EJWA worked well. Never went over 1300* EGT's, drove nice, good mileage, good all around. You can buy kits or build it yourself if you have the knowledge and resources to do so.

I definitely have the resources and I'm a pretty good mechanic and fabricator so I think I might be able to do this but just in case I decide I don't wanna where can I get one of those kits and what about injector sizes would 120 be to big cuz I got a buddy tryin to sell some

120 would be fine with a stock turbo, but watch the EGT's. They would also compliment a set of compounds as well. When I did mine the first time, I built it all myself with a little welding help for the hot pipe. I can in around $700 for everything less the turbo.

Our Vendors can get you quotes for a compound kit.

Do you have any pictures of yours? And I have stumbled along a holder he1 was wondering if it an a hx60 would make a reliable compound or maybe an hx50/55 I got arp studs coming and when I get tax returns I plan ejwa cts monitor and hopefully compounds just need reliability and a pullin monster I suppose maybe I need a clutch perhaps!! The heaviest loads I got would be 10 to 14 1200lb bales on a 36ft trailer thanks for the help have been very helpful so far!!

Diesel Bombers - RAW's Album: Compounds

Have a look in there. I think the turbos you are talking about would make a decent budget minded set of compounds. Not the fastest spooling, or max performance, but will get the job done. Just like mine!

stock over S472 would be a nice setup. pair it with some 7x.010 injectors and you will have a powerful yet reliable setup that will tow anything you put behind it.

DAP sells twin kits to use stock turbo over S400 or stock over HT3B.

I would get the injectors from DFI. 7x.010 is roughly a 150hp injector. they are very clean and give great EGT's but also powerful

just turn the power down on the edge if you get one, and it will tow with perfect EGT's... turn the power up when not towing for more fun!

You could also go nuts like I did and do bigger twins and bigger injectors yet...

I run a S357 over S475 with 6x.013's (240hp+ competition injectors)

without wiretap fueling my EGTs stay under 1200 at all times under all conditions... only time I can get at or over that temp is with full wiretap fueling.

How often and how heavy of loads do you tow with that setup jigabop? And thanks RAW the pictures are very helpful!! I was wondering could I use the exhaust housing off the hx35w for the h1e it's a 12cm housing but I would have to have it machined from 60mm to 63.93mm for the inducer to fit would this work? Reason I am asking is because the h1e is non-wastegate any input would be awesome thanks for the help so far guys!!
