I just picked up a T-46 turbo the other day for $75, fella had it on his '98. It's been re-manufactured at some point, it has a metal Cummins tag riveted over the stock data plate with P/N 3029514, and has 3026993 stamped on the housing. All new to me, but from researching, it APPEARS they came on possibly the International Cummins way back when...or sometime before yesterday *smile*. It's in decent shape, no shaft play whatsoever, it's a huge snail compared to my HX35. Can anyone give me any advice on what I could expect, problem wise and performance wise, from swapping this thing on my '99 Dually 4x4 (202K miles, clean and tight)? I've just put a lot of $ into various things, since she died and I couldn't pull a code, (ended up being dodges "fix", pump in tank losing pressure, yanked that biatch OUT) new PCM, VP44, Airdog 100, crank and cam sensors, ALL new cables and connectors (West Marine High dollar!), removed entire ECM harness and went thru and checked each and every wire, making some repairs, etc, etc. (Kudo's to my super-tech Matt for his knowledge!) Should this be a bolt-on and go, or do I have to worry about any supporting mods? Guy drilled and tapped and had a Tial external wastegate on it, so any advice on what wastegate you guys think I could get by with, without breaking the bank? My HX35 is weeping a little oil, so it's just a matter of time. What do you guys think? Any advice greatly appreciated! -David
