I just bought a dually bed to harvest the tailgate and fender wells from to replace my beat-up ones, and there isn't too much to *fix* on a dually bed after you take the fender wells off. Obviously filling the very small bolt holes, but other than that the filler neck hole is all that needs patched and you have a perfectly good single wheel bed.

I wouldn't *think* they would make different beds for half-ton vs one-ton trucks, but who knows?

Only major difference i have noticed is that the wheel arch is larger on a dually than it is on the single wheel. I considered converting mine but I've grown to love the dually

alright thanks guys I appreciate it I found a bed for 400$ bucks that has a little dent but no rust or anything and its silver but my truck is maroon

has anyone just took the dually fenders and ran singles I didn't no what it would look like with the fill up tube hole and the light holes I could always just put rivets in the bolt wholes idk this is something I am going to do regardless but if its easier to just remove the dually fenders anyone did this?

I still have the (upside-down) dually bed I harvested the fenders from in my yard, if it'll help you I can take pictures of it and upload them? Let me know. I also forgot about little cut-outs in the fenders that would need patched as well to look 100% like a SRW.

Yea if u can take pics that would be awesome I'm mostly wanting to see how much a fender flare will cover up I was thinking of just taking the dually flares off for now and if I couldn't make it look good then just putting a different bed on it but I didn't want to spend the extra money if just taking the dually flare could b made to look good
