Water separator smells like gas?
Recently had my injectors go out about 80 miles after filling up at a local gas station, emptied my Water/fuel separator right away with a little bit of water in it. It has now been two weeks since and I just got my injectors today. While changing them out I decided to check my separator again and what came out almost smelled like gas? I drained it out into a bottle, dumped a little on a rag to see how it would burn and it burns as diesel would very slow smokey and it did not light up very fast. The more fuel that dripped from my separator the more it smelled like average diesel. I kept the bottle and im letting it sit to see if it separates over night.. just wanna see what you guys think about this situation, also I was running additive and had not drained my separator for quite awhile when this happened. Let me know what you think and ill Keep you updated on what the fuel sample looks like tomorrow!

Is it cold where you live? If so it might be some kind of anti-gel stuff they mix into the bulk tanks at the fuel station. For a matter of fact we mix about 3 gallons of gas to every 300 gallons a fuel at our farm to keep it from gelling. i dont know if its safe or not but it hasnt messed anything up yet.
