Who Has done the Most 24V Motor swaps...?
I have a 1999 Auto 2500 4x4 Cummins....I just had to swap in a 2001 Motor...mine had 355k on it and I got the infamous Block crack finally on the 53 block in mine....here is my issue
the 2001 motor has 104k on it...and it came with Engine Harness, Cam sensor, and Injection Pump... no ECM or PCM....And evidently the 2001 crank does not use or come with the Crank sensor Tone ring on board...
My 1999 Motor Ran great still, so I swapped all my Electronics over to the 2001 block....
I swapped the Engine Harness, Crank sensor, cam sensor, ECM, and Injection Pump all off my running 99 motor...
Currently I have no Fire....truck will not cycle the Lift pump or fire the injection pump....
I have P codes for 1689, 1693, and 1694
I was told by an outside Source that with my 1999 ECM and Injector pump on the 2001 motor, If I use the 01 Engine harness, It should Fire up and operate normal....?
Have any of you had any experience with this..?
Any info is greatly appreciated.....
Thanks, John in Oregon.....
