sounds like your snubber is junk.
get yourself a needle valve to replace it with 1/8NPT male to female which you can find at most hardware stores, or napa. Open the needle valve just barely a crack to have the proper setting. the needle should take several seconds to sweep to full pressure. if it pops over to full pressure instantly, it is open too much.
that buzzing sound from the gauge means injection pump pulses are hammering the crap out of your gauge. if caught early enough the gauge will be fine..but if you let it go on for too long it will destroy the gauge.
