Default truck fixed, finally

Just wanted to share this with y'all --
I had been having problems with hard hot starts after a VP44 replacement.
After going through a loooong list of probable causes, I finally decided to
replace the pump. Works like it should now - turns over about 1/2 turn and
fires right up. I'm a pretty happy camper right now

I would still recommend Thoroughbred Diesel (where I got the pump); they
did work with me to find the problem, and gave me absolutely no hassle
about replacing it, even though I screwed around for almost 6 months before
I got around to really doing something about this truck (I had plenty others
to drive). Looks like they move a LOT of pumps thru their store. I was a bit
concerned at first about their low prices, but it all worked out.
The replacement lift pump that was part of the package (stock location) is
much better than the stock pump, even though it looks identical.
17 psi vs. 12 psi.) Get the package.
Not so sure about Blue Chip - fellow DID try to help on the original
problem, but did not leave me with any warm fuzzies about them.
All the rest that show up on a VP44 google search that I talked to did not
seem to want to help much. Maybe caught them on a bad day
