Default Fuel Pressure Gauge with a FASS question

I have an 01 with a FASS that has the separator and filter in it so the stock filter housing was removed and I am fixing to install a fuel pressure gauge. Is tapping into the test port on the VP44 the best way to install my sensor?

A tapped banjo bolt with a snubber is a good way to do it.

no

if he has a full line kit which he likely does, then there is no longer any banjo bolts on the input side...

solution: tapped 90* pushlock to JIC fitting... also use a 1/8 NPT needle valve as a snubber. just barely crack open the needle valve for the correct setting to stop the injection pump pulses.

I have heard of using a 24" grease gun line and mounting the sensor on the end of it to reduce the pulses. Might do it myself once I replumb my system.

that doesn't help much. needle valve is your best and cheapest option. they work better than snubbers if closed off enough.

you want it closed enough that it takes a few seconds for the gauge needle to sweep to the pressure.

my gauge takes 2-3 seconds to fully sweep to my idle fuel pressure.
