What's next?
So I've got a 1999 5.9 cummins. It's the first diesel I've ever owned and ive done some minor upgrades to it. I have a 4" straight pipe mbrp exhaust, volant cold air intake with a hole cut under the windshield wiper vent for colder air to come through, a 3 piece exhaust mannifold, and EGT-fuel pressure-trans temp gauges. I just recently bought a 38 foot 5th wheel. The mass gross weight of this trailer can be 16k lbs. I towed it for the first time from Arkansas to Texas just the other day. The truck did ok but didn't pull as strong as I would like. It's an auto transmission btw. I was just wondering what I could do to help the motor pull stronger. I figured injectors and maybe a new lift pump would help. What do you think? My price range is probably somewhere between $1000 and $2500. Any advice would help. Thanks again

2nd that, my boys truck had valve body work something to one of the bands, and a torque converter upgrade, edge EZ and a smarty, we put 275 injectors and the truck pulled good and trans held up. just our experience.

long as you aren't doing boosted launches or shifting under TC lockup, you can get away with not running billet shafts and flexplate.
the moment you start shifting with the TC locked up, or launching under boost, you NEED billet everything! even then shifting with the converter locked is very bad and usually breaks shafts even billet shafts get broken by people doing this...
