Default so my new clutch slips....

I installed a clutch masters FX-100 in my truck and have around 3000 miles on it. mods are an xzt+ quadzilla, AFE intake, and 33 inch tires. i installed my new turbo because i got bored, but it was slipping before that. I don't beat on my truck often and the clutch install was in preparation for the future mods. i didn't really trust the clutch i had in there to begin with cause i was told it was stock. now i'm thinking i should have left the one that was in there alone until i smoked that one. Has anyone had any experience with these clutches before. i searched fx100 and clutch masters and found no useful info. thanks in advance.

I suggest calling the place you got it from and explaining the situation. They may replace it for free. Never hurts to ask.

never heard of that clutch.

in the future though I suggest going with either a south bend or valair clutch. both are great companies with excellent customer service that goes above and beyond for their customers.

The response i got back from the company was "For warranty on the part's we would need to see them , for and inspection to see was cause this problem", Which I understand. I'm just very hesitant on paying the return shipping and hoping the one they send me isn't a piece either. I think i'm going to just go with what jigabop said and call southbend. not too ecited i only got 3k miles out of a clutch though.....

my south bend has quite a few miles on it...and years... been in since 2010.

within the first month of having the clutch and my compounds, my old 1 1/4" shaft NV5600 decided it had enough of my truck and ripped all the teeth off of 6th gear and broke the intermediate shaft.

I called south bend saying hey I only have like 2k miles on my clutch and I'm going to switch to a large shaft (1 3/8" shaft) NV5600 from a later model to replace my trans...should I sell my clutch and buy another, or is there something that can be done to make my clutch fit the input?

they said send in just the discs with a return shipping label and a note saying what you want done, and they will swap the hubs on the discs free of charge to fit the larger input shaft. so I did that and the day they received my discs was the same day they shipped them back out! same day service and they even relabeled the discs for what order they go in and what direction. excellent customer service with extremely fast turn around times
