Question Bad inj pump, chance to build truck?

Alright, my truck lately has got to where it wants to run at times then fall straight on it's face and die only to start back. Yesterday it died with no chance of starting back. Most times bleeding air out if the fuel filter canister would solve the problem, but now has no air to bleed out. Lift pump is 99% shot, not sure if the injector pump went with it or not. Just need some opinions on what could cause this. Also thinking of buying an airdog 2 lift pump and a vp (if needed) along with maybe 75hp injectors and replacing my quadzilla with a smarty or something of that sort away from the performance boxes. What's your opinions on this fix/build? I don't haul extreme loads mainly a daily driver but occasional gooseneck or boat. Thanks and god bless.

I would get the lift pump replaced, then hook up a pressure gauge to the fuel pump and see what pressures your getting after the motor is running again.
I would recommend getting a fass system with a draw straw installed in your fuel tank. And also upgrade the main fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump to the 1/2" line. This is a commin issue with the vp-44 fuel system. This will keep constant fuel going to your fuel pump so you don't burn the pump up.

I have a p0230 p0251 p0252 p0253 p1693 and if memory serves me right a p0254. I checked up on all of these codes and that's we're the assumption of the dead vp came from. The lift only kicks on sometimes when I try starting it now, so I assume both are dead? Any opinions or input will be greatly appreciated!

I have a slight plan on how I will build my truck, I will add then in this order, airdog 2 165gph or a fass system,an ho vp44 from thoroughbred diesel, Ats air intake manifold, 75 or 150hp sticks with an aurora 3000 turbo. Also replacing my box with a smarty or something of that nature. I'm a newbie to the 24 valve so all help or input is appreciated!
