Default What clutch to purchase?!?!

Hey guys. So my stock clutch is going out. I want a south bend. Which one shall I get? I'm all stock right now but will for sure be getting a smarty and an intake kit just don't know when. MAYBE 100 horse injectors and a dragon fuel pump. So what clutch?

I would get either a 3250 or 3600 dual disc. I have a South Bend 3250 dual disc and I love it

i run a south bend dual disc cant tell you the exact model but, it came with the upgraded input shaft.... I run a airdog 150, 7x12s, and a 62mm turbo with a hot tune on my quadzilla and I haven't had any problems yet. 1700 is a little hard on the pocket right now but it was deff worth every penny

i would also go with a 3250 or if you are planning on doing some fun stuff ever like tug of war or racing people down the expressway with a gooseneck trailer and a heavy load i would get the 3600. my friend has prob about 10 hooks with his 3600 and and lots of tug of war and he dynoes just shy of 700 horse, and he also races his all the time and he slips the crap out of it and lugs in 5th gear with the pedal to the floor from 30 mph to 90mph. hes had it in for just about a year, and he pulled it out after breaking the teeth off fifth gear and he said it looked really good for all the abuse its been through. this is the type of kid that will do donuts on drive pavement while hes waiting to get a table at a restaurant. . another friend of mine has the 3250 its a great clutch but its an organic plate so it doesnt take the high heat or abuse that the 3600 can. but the engagement on the 3600 is a little rougher than the 3250. all depends on what you want to do with your truck, how much you want to spend and if you care about the little bit rougher engagement. if you really want to go crazy then get a 3850 like i have. i would also upgrade your hydros no matter which dual disc you get.

Okay thanks guys. Sounds like I might go with the 3600 then. I don't PLAN to do any tug of war but its possible and yes I do a lot of playing around on the street and once I get a south bend maybe an occasional burnout. Rough engagement can be overcome with a little more throttle correct? and also on the 3600, what is "ROUGH". meaning it wants to jump forward when the clutch is almost out?

I have been told it really isnt that bad. There are ways to drive around the rough engagement. Such as coasting to lights. Its only rough engagement when first taking off.

Okay. That's what I figured. Ya I live in California, I hold up the reputation for the California stop or California roll. I don't tow much but I know there will be times I need to so I want a clutch that's gonna be strong enough to hold up to heavy loads and also my abuse just hot rodding around. Thanks for the input guys.
