power steering went out help please!

Default power steering went out help please!

So I was parking my truck and turning the wheel when I heard a loud *** pop then had no power steering and brake pedal was impossible to push in
Any ideas what broke help please

The shaft on the pump gear would be my guess...

Most likely broke the shaft from the gear case to the PS pump could be a vacuum pump or a PS pump issue. You'll have to pull it all out and inspect it all.

Damn looks like I'm gunna have to take it to a shop. I'm not that mechanically inclined

Simple pull each part loose and check the shaft. PS and the Vacuum pump.

Power steering pump supplies the pressure to feed both the power steering and hydro booster but the pump fails there is nothing to either. Hydrobooster rarely would effect the PS system.
