First thing to do is check for codes. You can do the key trick (off, on, off, on, off, on leave on and codes will show in the odometer) but it is better to use a scanner. If you don't have a scanner or know anyone that does you can rent one from O'Reilly's and many other parts stores.

Napa filters are ok to get you by but they are not the best choice for your truck. Do some research on both fuel and oil filters because some of them are not approved for use on cummins. I would recommend Fleetguard or Baldwin for fuel filter and Fleetguard stratapore or Donaldson ELF for oil. I use Baldwin and from my local Peterbuilt store they are quite a bit cheaper than getting one from an auto parts store.

alright i apperciate it but im getting somthing that will get me bye because im broke down 4 hours from my house so it sucks

If you bump your starter can you hear the lift pump running?

you might want to start by checking your fuses and relays, sounds like you have an electrical issue

all fuses check out is their any other relays besides under hood and on side of dash by drivers door

How cold is it where you're at and how much fuel is in the tank? Check fuse 14&17 in the dash for the fuel gauge and wts light. Can you get any codes by doing the key trick?

its like 10 degrees but i put additives in it and and their is 3/4 of tank fillled her before she puked and all i get when doing key trick is NO BUS

If you bump the starter can you hear the lift pump running? It should run for about 25 seconds.
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- For the no bus, check fuse 12 in the dash. If it is good disconnect the harness from the edge comp. Try key trick. Hopefully you don't get no bus again. Now try to start.
