Default Drw to srw?

I keep throwing this idea back and forth bout converting my dually to a single rear wheel. Would I have to get a regular srw bed or would I be able to just cut off the dually fenders? What would I need to do with the fuel neck also? What all else would I need to do for the conversion? Is there any gains or benefits to converting?
Thanks
Cody

I think someone did this recently, or maybe the other way around. A search for it may prevail some answers.

There is a thread like this.
I'm gonna find it and post there, I'm gonna try this with my flatbed, should be easier, and less ugly which I dont tend to worry about.
