want to get my first dodge with cummins!
ok i have a 2000 chevy 4x4 suburban its in awesome shape. leather interior tinted windows aftermarket wheels. my wheels are made by 20 inches strong. they are 18 inch monster energy drink wheels. bfg all terrains on it glasspack exhaust i like it alot. but i have a guy wanting to trade me a 2002 dodge 3500 dually with a cummins and and auto tranny in it can someone or alot of people please help me make my decision. i know the dodge is worth alot more. the guy wants me to trade him my vehicle even for his dodge and he is giving me a toolbox for it that also is a 100 gallon fuel tank and is also offering me a full set of alcoa polished aluminum wheels with new tires all around. truck has a few very small dents but it has straight pipes and its loud as **** and i love it because diesel fumes make me horny . i drive 18wheeler for wiley sanders truck lines in troy alabama. i love the sound and smell of diesels. please give me good advice because everyone i know is telling me not to get it and they dont have any good logic. im looking for pros and cons thank you!!!

Its not 4x4 and has a lil over 245k. The other day i drove it from a cold start and i put it in drive and it took off in second gear. I had to shut it off and start it back uo and it went into first and it had really good power and then agian i stopped in the middle of the road and it didn't go into first only second so i shifted to reverse then back to drive and it went right into 1st and then had good power. I know the truck has a holset turbo on it and 4 inch straight pipe and also this thing under the dash where you have to put in this small chip that attatches to the key ring to make it run. Ive never seen that what is it and is that a problem with the tranny or do i need to let it warm up first?

Honestly id wait. Me personally i dont like high miled vehicles especially with trans issues. You know what you have with ur current vehicle. There's someone out there with a diesel who wants to get a suv for whatever reason. If u dont need a dually no point in owning one. Two extra tires to buy and they dont last as long as srw.

We do. I do believe i have decided against it which sucks. If it were 4x4 there would be no talking me out of it. Im in the process of getting my frist truck i ever owned back which is a 1972 chevy c10. The guy with the dodge also has a 427 big block i want to put in the old truck so i will stick with that. Thanks for your help guys and i guess when it comes to diesel i will stick to the big boys. I like the 2007 kenworth with that big 500 cat in it!
