Our 01 3500 had a bad vp44 and the p0216 code..also had a p0234 overboost code put a new vp44 on it all the problems went away and truck runs alot better but also the code's will not go away I also put a boost fooler on for the turbo code had batterys off over night still on and my scanner won't clear them even if the engine is not running the light is not on just when you scan it I can't get them to go away

 

Have you tried another scanner/code reader?

 

This is the only one I have but wouldn't the battery's off cleared it?

In don't think its that because then other code wont clear also and it won't even clear if engine is off

I am using a elm32 Bluetooth scanner

 

I have no previous experience with that tool. Do you have the ability to see code status?

what do you mean by code status? If you mean if it displays what the problem is then yes it shows it

 

Active or stored is what I think he means.
