I'm wanting to run a new programmer on my 99 cummins, would like some input on which would be better, edge comp box, or smarty? Help me out please.

Both are excellent. Pros for the edge: you can adjust levels on the fly. Pros for the smarty: It is also a code scanner/eraser, you can adjust the speedo for tire size. The two can also be used together at the same time.

I was planning on stacking one of these with my existing programmer now. Any of you heard anything on blue chip fms?

Yes u will get more out of edge with the pump tap, but to each their own. I wasn't concerned with horsepower i only bought it for the mpg gain and tire calibration.
