Put half ton springs in the front, and get half ton leaf springs, should ride easier

I removed leafs from my rear, and the ride is way better. I also have air bags for when I tow.
I have heard, and correct me if this is wrong, that half ton springs won't work as they are narrower than the mounts.

What's with the attached picture? The reason you want it to ride smoother?

You will lose load carrying capacity with 1/2 ton springs.

to run the 1/2 ton rear springs you would have to get a 1/2 ton rear shackle
larger tires with a d load side wall helps a ton as well! small rims large tires weak side wall equeals great ride wiht any truck

sell your REAL TRUCK and go buy a dakota if you dont need a truck.....Hell,I'll go buy a Dakota and swap ya if you want!...I'll never understand why people buy a 1ton deisel truck (especially on 39"s) and then cry about it riding like a truck!

No need for negativity man... people have and always will own trucks for their own reasons it's practical to have a heavy duty for working and towing but no where in the unwritten law of man does it say you have to.

leave your coil springs alone in the front 1/2 springs wont hold up that engine. and different tires will help to, not load range C tires but D's maybe less ply to it if you dont tow that much... but any how its your truck so you can do what you please, plus the rams are a hell of a lot more comfortabe than a dakota I know because I had one
