My truck was running fine when I parked it three weeks ago. This morning I bumped the ignition switch and the 24v just slowly tried to crank but could not turn over'

I disconnected both batteries and cleaned the terminals.
I connected each battrey one at a time to my battery charger which read FULL charge.
I re attached both batteries and still no change. Still will not turn over/same as before.

All Battery cables are clean, tight and connecter properly. I am thinking that sence the starter is trying to turn over that the solenoid is working properly? Possibly the starter needs to be replaced?...or could it be the batteries?

Any advice or help will be appreciated.

To insure your batteries arn't toast you gotta put them on a load tester so you can check the cranking amps not just the volts. I bet they are gone and thats your problem.

 

I replaced both battrey's and it fired right up, now I am good to go. i'm sorry that I ask so many questions about my truck but my old 1990 Cummins was just simple to repair compared to this 1998.5.
