Whats a better t-case setup?

Back 3 years ago I did that while pondering over replacing a timing case and re-timing a VE pump after swapping it.
Once I got into it and realized how very simple the VE Cummins engine really was, it was a simple job.
I agonized over it for a week before, just worried I'd "break something expensive" or not get it back together, then it dawned one me:
The darned thing didn't run as it was. It was already a broken chuck of metal just sitting there, so it was more valuable to me to learn SOMETHING in trying to do it, than the engine was worth non-running, so I tore into it.
Sometimes over-thinking the situtation is worse than ruining something trying to fix it.
At least if you DO ruin it, you gained the experience of knowing it was beyond you.
It'll still be broken if you DON'T succeed.
Mark.
