the gauge is screwed on mine also and I ran it out of fuel last week and it took 25.3 gallons to fill it, as far as mileage goes I have seen 10 to the gallon pulling 15k load on my gooseneck to 18 on the highway

as for how much per tank.. I usually get 450-500 miles per tank give or take, thats with a 5 speed and 3:55 gears.. and a few mods to help out.

The tanks are stamped 30gal embossed/molded right into the plastic on the side. But you can get a tad over 32 in it from completely empty if the vent is working properly.

On mine i have 4:11 gears, 5 speed, 4x4, and it has a 30 gallon tank, about 600-800 miles per tank, Im impressed with it. But the mods I've done helped tremendously as far as fuel economy goes.
