Do you run a grill cover when it's really cold? advantages/disadvantages every now and then I will see a truck running with one, but no first gen cummins powered dodge's to be seen around me. - |

I completly cover my grill and also take my fan off.................we only use 20% of our cooling system under normal use
I take the grill cover off if I do mountain passes, also if you are going to tow leave the fan on I have a temp sensor in my intake horn so I can monitor everything well.........also watch coolent temps.......if you run fanless never run yer A/C - |

what pap said... usually a week TOPS if we get that bad; other than that it just takes forever to heat up... runnin the cover just speeds up warm up; and if you run an intercooler it can help it from icing over and causing an overheat b/c of blocked flow too... that's like whits problems
