hey what kind of ATF should i run in a Goerend tranny? i want to run synthetic but don't really know what kind to run i was thinking royal purple, amsoil, or the like any ideas or links to good cheaper trans fluid for my ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Valvoline synthetic ATF+4 is what i have in mine.....it's in the blue bottle..... i added the additive to it too and i've never had any problems...... and if you blew all your lines out it'll take ~19 qts to read full on the stick.... hopes this helps....

well i'm not going to use +4 because dave spacifically said GM DEX III is what he uses but i think i'm going to use the Valovline seems to be a common response which works for me cheaper....yeah

he told if that's all i had (the dex III) then i :q: could :q: use it.... but recomended ATF+3 or better...... the difference is the additives in dex III, +3, and +4..... i'd rather have a better quality fluid with better additives that would prolong the life of my tranny than skimp by and buy inferior fluid, add a little bottle of additive, hope that there is enough in that little bottle and call it good.... my tranny is worth more than my truck is.....(to the bank anyway) i want it to last the full 100K mile warranty..... and then some
