Default Fuel preasure guage install

Hi guys. I got my fuel pressure guage today and it was so flippen easy to hook up, that I can hardly believe it. All I have to say is the guys at Vulcan Performance know their fittings. I ordered an Isspro mechanical gauge and the kit that came with it included everything except one of their guys to put it on for me. The only issue I had was the banjo bolt wouldn't go in it's respective hole, due to the accelerator cable being in the way. I took a screwdriver and a hammer and tapped on the flange that holds the cable untill it would just clear the hose, then I had to use a fine toothed japanese hand saw to shave a little plastic off, and bingo. Anyhow I thought I'd share my good experience with y'all.

i'm trying to grasp the purpose of the isolator.... i'm guessing it's so you dont have fuel running into your cabin and in reality all the fuel pressure gauge is; is a low pressure boost gauge

andddd you should have gotten a better pic of the directions... i see that your supposed to fill the gauge side with coolant but is the actual line left empty? per the exposed directions it say only the isolator

tower_ofpower's Sig:One thing i learned in college: DON'T!!! stick your fingers where you wouldn't stick Mr. Happy 89' W250, full fuel 1 1/2 turns, smoke screw needs adjustment, M&H M3 fuel pin and timing spacer, 366 spring, air dog 150,3" DP to 4" DP back bully dog exhaust with the front baffle cut out. Soon to be:transmission upgade, turbo and manifold swap, and injectors.

You're exactly right about the isolator. It is just to keep the fuel out of the cabin. On all the instructions for fp gauges i've seen, there is a warning stating you must mount the gauge outside of the vehicle unless it is a full sweep electric gauge. I can see why after bleeding the air out of the line. It dribbled pretty good. A little anti-freeze on the carpet is better than a bunch of diesel, in the rair event of your tube comming off your gauge, I guess. And yes, you do fill the tube, as well as the isolator, then bleed it at the gauge. It's the only thing I've done to this truck that only took one try, other than taking off the running boards.
