i have an intercooled 91 with a cummins in it.its a auto 4 spd. i have the pdr intake on it with the afe filter a pdr custom cut fuel pin and turned up the smoke screw. can i put the lucas p.o.d 52rwhp injectors in it without changing the turbo. im gonna put on a hx35 but i was wondering if i would blow somenthing up by putting in the injectors and not doing the turbo for awhile please let me know thanks rich

have you messed with the full power screw yet?

Unless you find a smokin deal on some POD's I would save up a little more and get some better injectors.

And a HX35 would be a good match for the POD's

 

so i should change the turbo and inj at the same time.and the tranny is already built real nice.i want the pods cause im driving this truck evrey day so i dont want to get too crazy plus i hear they are real smokey. i love that

 

what are you plans for the truck? will you tow any with it? What converter you running in the built auto?

I would do the turbo first. Have you turned up the full power screw on the back of the pump yet?

 

just a daily driver,smoke blowin machine.no i probably will never ever tow anything with it.not sure what converter is in there but i do know its a hd low stall conv.i wanna say the stall is like 900 800 somenthing like that but i could totally be wrong.and i havent messed with the full power screw yet.thanks for your help

 

I would play with the full power screw before spending any money in injectors. Get you an hx35 and tweak the pump some more. also dont set black smoke as a goal please. It gives all of us a bad rap.

 

will do ha ha yeah i know but its just so damn cool to leave evreyone in a huge cloud of dark dark black smoke. i guess im just like a little kid
