Default Trading my Duramax for 1st gen?

I put my 01 Duramax up for sale or trade and I had a guy offer me a 1990 1st gen 5 speed in near perfect condition. New injectors, 3" lift, brand new paint job, about 2k worth of extra 5x13 injectors and new s366 turbo I think he said and new head bolts, 5" stack in the bed, 40" led light bar, halo headlights, and a couple other things I may be forgetting. the truck has pretty much had a complete overhaul. My truck is a 01 2500hd Duramax 4x4 with edge juice with attitude, cold air intake, Ppe boost valve, 3" lift, all new steering components, transmission tail housing, u joints, led wheel well lights, FASS adjustable fuel pump. His truck is in truck shows all the time and looks way nicer than mine. I'd just like to know if anyone thinks it would be a good deal because I don't know myself. My first truck was a 89 long bed dodge so it may make me feel at home again I just won't opinions.

I would do that trade on principle alone! (I hate electronics on my diesels)

But I think you could likely sell your Dmax for a pretty penny, and buy two or three (less pretty) 1stgens... that's what I did when I liquidated my F350 powerstroke.

I also put my 01 chevy duramax up for trade and someone with a 96 12 valve wants to trade plus 2,000 cash. It's it a good deal? Am I going to be disappointed with the Cummins. It's a standard with 220,000. And the top end was just redone. My duramax has 149,000 with 10,000 in work done in the last 20,000 miles

Your Dmax is 5yrs newer, and you recently spent the price of a 12v truck on it...

Without more details, it doesn't make good business sense. Sell your truck for as much as you can get, given your recent stack of receipts. Shop around for a more affordable cummins.
