Default 93 high egts

Well I haven't found much help from looking t other posts so I'm going to post. Iv got a 93 5 speed with 140hp nozzles and a 40hp fuel pin 3500 gov spring and an hx35/40 hybrid turbo. It runs about 700 cruising on hwy but when I pass a slower vehicle it will get to 1600 by time I get in front of the vehicle. So my question is what's the next step to help keep my egts lower for a longer period of time?

Any timing advance? How's the smoke? 4" pipe?

I backed out my fuel pin because it was too smokey when I got on it. I think it helped the EGTs too.

Do you have any intake or exhaust mods? If not, that would help a lot.
