Default Ve pump problems please help

Ok first to start my truck is an 86 w250 that I personally swapped the cummins into, I have driven this truck for almost 3 years this way...this problem started summer last year and has gotten consistently worse.

I have new fuel lines, new lift pump, filter, ect. My injectors are stock (75,xxx miles on engine) and my pump is original...has 3200rpm spring and pin, and I have messed with the screw afc and advanced timing.

I pretty sure my Injection pump has finally just **** the bed but I figured I'd join here and see what you guys had to say.

My truck will Fire right up and run with zero issue for an hour, a day, a week, a month it's very intermittent but seems like it's count down to the hour now

Runs perfect then randomly loses all power smokes straight white out the exhaust and misses like crazy until it finally just can't stay running and kills itself...believe it or not, it'll even shoot flames...
The CRAZY part
I crack Injectors, turn it over for not even 5 seconds to bled, tighten back down, runs like its brand new for another hour, day, week ect. Ect.

This makes no sense, someone give me some peace of mind here...I've been dealing with this for over a year!

Thanks, jim

When you bleed it, are you seeing air in the fuel? How much?

Any luck with this?
Mine (1991.5 W250, all stock?) just started doing this the other day after sitting four months. Except it does it every time, and just lasts 5 - 10 mins unless just idling, and if I run the RPMS up it goes right away. No flames yet though

Sounds like they are both drawing in air, need to really go over the fuel lines, tank pick up and all fittings.
