Hi I got a 2wd 1993 d-150 it has a 318 and a new a518 trans that is built. i happened to pick up a 1990 cummins with only 30000 miles and thought maybe I could swap it in if that trans will work. It is just gonna be a cruiser not pulling anything I am having trouble finding anything on the internet to give me any info so I joined this forum to maybe find someone thats knows something. It is an ex cab short box and plan to put it on airbags and will be pretty sweet when Im done. I thought the drivetrain would probably hold up since I was just gonna use it as a cruiser. And a cummins would make it badass. I used to drive a 91 4x4 in high school and i really miss that old beast, toughest pickups ever!

 

Take my info with a grain of salt cause im not positive. But you would have to redo your entire front suspension I believe just cause of the weight difference of the engines and the size of your truck.
