Can I use my 92 Cummins tranny when I swap to Chevy?
I'm doing a Cummins swap to an 85 Chevy 3x3. I believe my 92 Cummins has the 46RH automatic tranny in it. My question is: has anyone done this swap and used the 46RH tranny or does anyone know if it can be done? I'll change over to an NV4500 or NV5600 eventually, but just want to get the swap done ASAP. Thanks for your input!

Thanks! The 46RH is 2wd. I haven't decided if I'll post a build thread yet.

It is not a problem but you will need to either put a pressure switch or toggle switch in to activate the o/d. you will not need any of the computer stuff either as the motor and trans are pretty much stand alone, but you will need to wire a mopar electronic voltage regulator into it to make it charge, pretty easy though. if you are planning to run cruise control then you will need the tps and crank trigger also.

Lots of chevy cummins conversion????
Ok not sure where this should be posted so please be patient,I have a 1991 dodge 250 cummins with 518a 4x4 that I'm using as a donor for my 2003 chevy 3500 duramax......I bought it with no motor or tranny,I would like to use everything I can off of donar but I can't figure out for sure which transfer will work with my tranny as I've read a million conflicting inputs,I'm looking at mounts from auto world unless someone can lead me to a cheaper solution.im going to make this happen come hell or high water ,I just want to be on the right track before I pull front clip.any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated.!!!!!
