Default 2002 turbo onto 1992

So I just picked up a my 2nd 1992 cummins and driving it home was painfull I forgot just how gutless my other one was stock.
A guy that I worked for told me he would sell me his stock turbo and downpipe from his truck, so i did some research and I found out that it will bolt up to my manifold.
My questions are am I going to have to mod it to hook up to my intercooler ? Has anyone done this?

Also I was wondering what would be a good set of injectors to run with this? My other truck just has the gov spring fuel pin and pump turned up id like to make a little bit more power but keep it clean.

It is a HX35 it is a common swap.it should be pretty easy both trucks are intercooled.
If your 92 has a H1c with the 21cm turbine housing that is why it feels gutless. The HX35 will give a pretty big improvement. alone. I would swap turbos and do some pump adjustments.(not at the same time) before messing with injectors.

hx35 will not really support more power, but spool up will be several hundred faster.
5x.011 injectors with the correct spray pattern are in the mid $300 range.

you could also do a fuel pin and pump tuning to get another 100HP over stock and skip the injectors. We have all the parts you need here in our warehouse.

Ya i will be turning my pump up and I got a bd fuel pin and gov spring plus boost and pyro gadges.
Are my stock injectors big enough?
I was informed that they where quite small on intercooled trucks.
Is it worth my time or should I leave the stock ones in?

Stock injectors are rather small in a IC truck, they are 6x.009. Here is a link to help you understand the size of yours vs other common sizes flow wise. Injector Tip size reference chart(found on an internet site site) - Dodge Cummins Diesel Forum
