FNG asking a question.....
FNG to the diesel world & Dodges for that matter. It looks like I may be inheriting a 93 D250 Club Cab 2WD that has been sitting for close to 10 years. I did get to borrow it about ten years ago & towed a fifth wheel with it from Spokane, WA to International Falls, MN. I was impressed with the power & MPGs. I have been browsing this forum to find the pros & cons of this rig. I like that so many people like these rigs so I'm hoping that you can help a FNG out. Since it has been sitting, I would like to know what things I should pay attention to engine wise. The plan is to put a new battery in, check the hoses, belts, misc rubber parts, change the oil, & test the coolant. Typical stuff for any engine, but please point me to anything else I should do or test or check before I just try cranking her over. I'll be sure to post some pics when I get my hands on her. Thanks for any info & I'm looking forward to learning about this cool ol truck!

Welcome,
You are on the right track, also change the fuel filter and put a bottle of fuel conditioner in it, and when you buy filters stay as far away from Fram as possible as they come apart and clog the piston cooling jets. Go with Napa, Cummins or Baldwin filters might cost a buck or two more but well worth it.
