Default Powerstroke intercooler?

What is this I hear about swapping a powerstroke intercooler onto a first gen?

99+ 7.3 intercooler will fit right in there with some custom brackets made of angle iron.

Oh, and the hood latch support has to be deleted or bent a bit. I'd stick with '99-'01 because i think 2002 had plastic core supports, but I'm no Powerstroke expert and this is what I remember being told.
