I understand the reasoning for a bhaf that's why I'm running one right now I'd just like to get into something I can run a pre filter with and get more life out of i know im going to loose some going with a different filter. Iv seen bhaf pre filters on the net over priced.
So are you running the flees guard marine??
How are you like the deep cycle with cold starting?
I was going to go with two batts turned sideways on the factory trey but since I did my power stroke intercooler swap the 3 inch pipings just to close to allow

I am running this one DieHard Marine Battery : Buy High-Performance Battery at Sears .They work really good and have had no problems with them.
A pre-filter will help, but I just don't have any faith in the "gauze" type filters. Seen to many collapse and too much dirt get by.
