I currently own a 94 Cummins 2 wheel with the 47 RE. When i bought i had no problems with the transmission until about two months later. I had no speedometer reading and no overdrive. I changed both vss sensors, new tps, and had the pcm repaired with no results as to what was causing the problem that still existed. I could only shift into 3rd gear for around six or seven months and could run no faster than sixty. As i finally got tired of this problem and built up some money i took the truck to a Transmission shop after it had been to two other diesel shops. I got up their and the guy took a look at it and asked if i had replaced the vss in the tongue of the transmission. I had and the first thing he done was matched up the teeth of the sensor with the teeth on the speed gear in the transy. No one had been able to give me the info about this until i went to him so i want to get this information out their. Any questions just ask.
