You need at least 60lb springs to go over 3200 rpm safely, I put the valvesprings in a couple of days ago, its not that bad as long as you have a valvespring compressor.

Im going to install my 4k GSK in the next few days, I dont think its a hard install, you just dont want to mess it up and drop anything into the pump.

Run a search on google and you should find a couple of good threads and articles on the install.

Keep things clean, get a good small magnet of some sort and you should be fine. If your truck has idle spiring shims do not remove them.

I think the main thing you need to worry about is not dropping shims (or anything else) down into the pump, because then you have to fish for it til you get it out

I did mine by my self "literally" under a shade tree with a set of directions I printed off of the internet. It was way simple but it has been several years since I did mine. I got way more seat of the pants power improvement out of my GSK than anything else I have done to my truck. I was amazed at the increase in quickness it gave old green.

I think a 3k kit is in order in any truck whether it is a stock truck or a play toy. Makes a huge difference!
