Question 94 12V miss

hey guys, first post, my buddy used to be on here all the time and had the 06 of my life but he is no longer with us, since then ive had 2 chevy detroit 6.5L and finally got my CUMMINS ive always dreamed of, bought her last night for 3G with number two injector miss, ran better than alot of the trucks i drove b4 her, so i drove her home (55mi) and she did fine, i bought a new injector today and put it in and it GREATLY reduced the issue but its still there when u get on it. she has had the check valve replaced and thats as fare as the guy b4 me got. she almost "chuggs" any speed or rpm, she has no problem with power, no obvious smoke, no obvious fuel leaks ither. if i crack the injector lines one at a time on the first three, the 2nd cylinder sprays like the other two but dose not change the sound or rpm? Im kinda wondering about timing, but like i sayed no ovious white or blue smoke in mirror. this truck is a early 94 2door 2wd nv4500 and i love it just need to get rid of the chugging or miss

Does it do it all the time or only when it warms up?

Default constant

she dosent seem to changed cold or warm, its just there, like i sayed when i crack the line it sprays a foot or more above the motor so i feel like the injector pump is good and may just be timing but at the same time the rmp dosnt slow down when u open the 2nd line

i think thats what i meant by the check valve, or are there both on this truck? is it a possible timing thing? what are the symptoms of a failed lift pump?

Timing and lift pump with affect all of the cylinders so that is unlikley. It has to be some thing in that piticular cylinder. Seeing as you say no smoke probably a fuel delivery problem. That is al least where I'd start looking for a problem.

well we did the delivery valves, the old ones werent healthy but it didnt solve the problem. we contacted the dodge garage and i guess a BUNCH of trucks have been comming in with fuel issues... which means the whole area including our truck has been fed crap fuel. it goes in monday, they're going to flow test the lift pump and see what kind of fuel pressure the truck has. atleast that way it'll let us know if the lift pump or overflow valve needs replaced. otherwise we'll be putting the stock injectors back in and getting the aftermarket ones bench tested, cleaned up and pressures reset. time will tell.

Don't forget to check your plug wires.
