The 'rack' you're referring to... talking about the fuel plate/afc rack?

Anyway... does it completely shut off (DIE), or just stutter and lose power? Because my truck had a similar situation when the fuel heater bowl pre-filter screen was clogged AND the fuel filter was clogged. After changing those 2 items out it ran like a champ!

My advice would be to double check those easy/cheap items and move on from there. if nothing else, you've got a fresh fuel filter in there, and that can never hurt!

yes i am referring to the AFC rack. It has a brand new filter in her. It completely dies and once in a while will shutter.

Fuel doesn't seem like a problem because in neutral it doesn't boost and will rev infinitely.

But in neutral, the truck isn't under a load, and without boost the fuel rack won't move forward. Revving in neutral will use far less fuel. I would check your fuel pressure and go from there.

does your truck bog out and die the more you get on the throttle im having similar issue with my 97 just replaced fuel filter and lift pump next step was gonna be checking the fuel heater screen and overflow valve then move to the tank not a diesel mechanic so just goin down the list as i can
